Overview

The Prater is Vienna’s big amusement park and city woodland in one: at the front the Wurstelprater funfair with the Giant Ferris Wheel of 1897, behind it the Green Prater with its arrow-straight Hauptallee. Praterstern station is on the U1 and the U2 and is also an S-Bahn hub. From the exit it is only a few minutes on foot to the Ferris wheel.
